Problem Shooting any issues with your Papa Pump

Problem Shooting;

With only two moving parts, problems with the actual pump are very unlikely. After heavy rain or during prolonged periods of drought, just check your pump and filters to make sure they are not blocked.

First - make sure your system is set up correctly. Click HERE for simple site layout guidance

Secondly; If you PAPA pump does continue to stop 'beating' you may have something stuck in the pump causing the valve to 'lock' (ie beat only once)

NOTE; most problems are caused by-

Air has got into the supply pipe if there is not enough water supplying the pump

Or, large solid debris, like leaves, have entered the pump.

Thirdly; Check your manual for guidance on simply stripping the pump.

For Steel PAPA Pumps we have a video on stripping the pump to remove debris here.
