In low lying, slow moving water courses, water is often required by livestock or for agriculture. However, livestock pollute sensitive water and pumping water uses energy.

However, installing the new PAPA Pump Fish Pass into the watercourse allows rare Eels, Elvers and fish to move over the pass but still allows the Pump inside to power a constant flow of water to bankside tanks/ toughs. 

 Weirs and dams can interrupt the ability for fish to migrate, however, this ensures there is no disruption AND moves water to where it is needed with zero energy.
